Soviet N1 Moon Rocket Exploding
This was the largest rocket ever built. The explosion was equivalent to 5,000 tons of TNT. That's 1/3 of the Little Boy atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima in 1945.

Challenger Shuttle Explosion
In 1986 the Challenger Space Shuttle exploded 70 seconds into lift off due to a bad O-ring seal in one of its solid fuel boosters. The seven astronauts aboard were incinerated.
